It is also in three movements, but the middle movement consists of six sections, alternating between slow movement and scherzo. The third, opus 108 in D minor, is a four-movement work written over the period 1886 to 1888.Anne Harvey-Nagl and John O’Donnell have recently recorded all three sonatas for CD.
