The easiest way? Be active! Leave helpful feedback on posts you download, review content, and be friendly to others in the community.
To send a friend request on SA:
Visit the profile of the person you’d like to add and click the "Add to Friends" button. Your request will show up on their profile and they’ll see it next time they log in.
Some users will accept all friend requests, others may not. Don’t take it personally – there are thousands of members here and more joining every day.
Some folks just like to browse quietly without adding friends, and that’s perfectly fine too.
